Terranea Resort - that's pronounced terra-NAY-a, sits on 102 acre private peninsula not far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, CA. As a part of the Destination Collection, this resort was the first luxury resort on the Los Angeles coast! Before it's 2009 debut, sat the Marineland of the Pacific, a seaside animal theme park that was often used for set location for a few motion pictures and television productions. From Marineland to Eco Resort, Terranea has been designed to heighten and preserve the natural beauty of its oceanfront backdrop, showcasing a coastal Mediterranean aesthetic with design elements sensitive to the native environment. 

So what does this beauty have to offer it's guests besides breathtaking views and tide pools? With miles of coastal trails, trekking is another suggested activity while on property!  If you follow the path to the north which leads directly to the Palos Verdes Interpretive Center and Lighthouse where you can learn the fascinating history of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. This 360-room hotel offers 326 guest rooms and 34 suites that range from 450 square feet to the 1,800-square-foot Presidential Suite. Contemporary features include rich linens, stone baths and amenities such as flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations and Wi-Fi access.

For guests who prefer more space and privacy, Terranea also has 20 two-bedroom bungalows, 50 three-bedroom ocean view casitas and 32 villas that range from 1,850 square feet to 2,800 square feet.
